Traceable certification, handed over on completion
Every installation is designed and tested to 18th Edition BS 7671, and — where the job calls for it — handed over with a certificate: a minor works certificate, an installation certificate, or an EICR. You leave with the full documentation, not a promise that it exists. It's the strongest thing we offer: a paper trail you can hand to a buyer, an insurer or a landlord's agent.

NAPIT Part-P registered — No. 82220
We're registered on the NAPIT competent-person scheme (Reg No. 82220), so notifiable work in your home is self-certified to Building Regulations Part P through us — no separate building-control inspection fee. The registration is verifiable, and the number is right here for you to check.

JIB Gold Card engineers on every job
Our engineers hold the JIB Gold Card — independent proof of qualification, assessed on-site competence and current health & safety. It's the industry's benchmark card, and it's not something a firm can simply award itself.

Our own qualified team — no subcontracting
The engineer who quotes and the team who carry out the work are Hobbs' own — we never subcontract. That's how, with over 25 years of combined electrical experience behind us, the standard stays consistent from first fix to final test.

You'll get a clear quote and plain-English communication before any work begins — 'explained everything clearly' is a line that comes straight from our reviews. No work goes ahead until you know what's involved and what it costs.
